The group was established in December 1998 to serve the Java user community in the tri-county areas of Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
The membership of the SOFLOJUG consists of those new to Java who want to learn about its capabilities to experienced architects and developers who keep each other informed about issues and innovations about the language.

The purpose of the group is to provide a forum whereby members can exchange information and learn about new advances in the language.
Fees: Membership and meetings are free.
Presentations or discussions are given at each meeting on topics of interest to the community.
Presenters Needed: Speakers are needed for future meetings. Everyone has a learning experience to share. Prior speaking experience not needed, just a passion for the technology and a desire to share with others so that they may also learn. In appreciation for your efforts, presenters receive a beautiful certificate in a frame.
